On this date in royal history, May 2, in 1519, artist, painter, sculptor, architect, mathematician  anatomist, botanist, inventor, engineer, scientist, and cartographer Leonardo da Vinci died at Cloux, France, at age 67 st Clos Luce (pictured above). Leonardo da Vinci is buried at Chateau d’Amboise, France.
